One new mom bought a single ticket for her train but her little passenger arrived a little early. Ana Aguirre, 32, went into labor while waiting for her Long Island Railroad train, reports the New York Post.
The baby wasn’t nearly as patient as his mother and the other passengers who were waiting for a delayed train. Transit authorities came to Aguirre’s aid, helping to deliver the baby right there on the platform. Paramedics then took mom and baby to a nearby hospital. As for the MTA, they welcomed the little one with a sweet tweet later in the day.
Our thanks to four #MTAPD officers who helped deliver Oscar Aguirre, 6 lbs., 12 oz., yesterday at Penn Station. http://t.co/BXqVxIkqNx
