Babies used to be known for appearing on doorsteps, but rarely are they born there. CNN spoke to Amy Beth Cavaretta, a Florida woman who delivered her baby, with the help of a midwife, just outside the hospital where she was supposed to be admitted. Dad ran into the hospital to get a wheelchair for his wife but she just leaned against it for support as she delivered her daughter. Mom and baby are healthy, happy and still a little surprised by the circumstances.
